Fabulous Exam Results at Staindrop!

Thursday 21 August was the day that all of our Year 11 students had eagerly awaited - GCSE results day!

Students, parents and staff were there early to open the all important envelopes.  There was laughter.... and tears!  They were, however, tears of joy!  Parents who could not accompany their youngsters were quickly contacted by mobile phone and the atmosphere was celebratory!

The results have been analysed and we are delighted that our students in Staindop have exceeded the fantastic results achieved in 2006 and 2007.  Our students achieved a wonderful 80% A*- C's with the average for Co Durham being 65%! 

It is with sadness that we bid Year 11 goodbye - they proved to be an outstanding year group - and we look forward to a highly successful new academic year at Staindrop.
