GCSE Exam Results 2009 - Outstanding!

Thursday 27th August 2009 was GCSE exam results day!  Over the last few years results have been outstanding at Staindrop Business and Enterprise College, a reflection of all the hard work of our students and their teachers. 

This continuing increase in attainment presents everyone with increasing difficulty as matching previous years results, not to mention improving further upon them, becomes a real challenge. 

So the atmosphere was electric as results came in and showed a staggering 94% of students  have achieved 5 or more GCSE's A*-C in 2009!  This was a massive increase on last year's results.  Furthermore, when including two of the core subjects, English and Maths, 59% of students have achieved 5 or more GCSE passes.  One further statistic, of which we are very proud is the fact that no child left us this year without a GCSE.  We had 100% of students achieving 1 or more GCSE.
