Whats On!


At Staindrop we offer a wide and varied programme of events in which students can participate out of lesson time.  From sporting clubs to running their own business, from web design to creativity in art, textiles and jewellery making, students have huge opportunites to learn skills out of normal school hours.

Mrs Bethell and Mr Nugent run the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme in school on a Thursday lunchtime.  This is open for students from Year 9 and onwards.  

In addition to these clubs, students have access to ICT facilities 4 lunchtimes and 4 afternoons every week.   We run a very successful Summer Club for Year 6 students who are about to join us in the September. 

Mrs Renton opens her Art room to students wishing to work on their art work some lunchtimes and after school. 

Horse Care Shop

The Horse Care Group run a shop in the Enterprise Village (opposite Mrs Boone's room) on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday lunchtime from 12.45pm onwards. They sell a variety of products for both horse and rider! Pop along and see what's on offer! 

A Riding and Road Safety group is planned to start soon. Watch this space!
