Homework Policy
It is important for all pupils to develop the capacity to work on their own, meet deadlines and organise themselves outside the classroom.
It is school policy that:
- homework is set and marked in all subjects
- learning objectives and success criteria for homework are made clear to pupils
- pupils are given more than one night (wherever possible) to do the work
- the type of work should take a variety of forms including extension of class work, projects, research, reading and revision
- the length of work varies depending upon the age and ability of the pupils
- it is the responsibility of the teacher to ensure that the pupils record the work in the diary/planner
