History

History

History is studied by all students in Years 7 and 8.  At the point of options students can then opt to study the subject to GCSE level.

Are you contemplating opting for History: 

Do you want to study a stimulating and interesting subject? 

Do you think you can handle the challenge of tackling subjects like the causes of World War 1 and 2?  Do you know enough about Modern German and American History?  Then why not choose a subject that is fascinating and fun?  A subject which develops and enhances essay writing, critical thinking and debating skills.  History is an academic subject which requires rigour and commitment to study.

The 4 modules are:

Unit 1 - The making of the modern world - 1900-1991

Unit 2 - Germany 1919-1939

Unit 3 - USA - A divided union? - 1945-1970

Unit 4 - Controlled Assessment
