Why Should My Child Choose Languages at GCSE level?

  • Analysing skills improve when students study a foreign language.
  • Business and foreign language skills make an employee more valuable in the market place.
  • Creativity is increased with the study of a language.
  • Dealing with another culture enables students to gain a more profound understanding of their own.
  • English vocabulary skill increases.
  • Foreign language study creates more positive attitudes and less prejudice towards people who are culturally different.
  • Graduates often say that foreign language courses are some of the most valuable courses they took in college because of the communication skills they developed in the process.
