Mr Priestley is our Head of Music at Staindrop B&E College.  All students study Music in Year's 7 and 8 and can then opt to study it further in Year 8, at the point of option selection.

 Depending upon a student's musical experience we offer:

The EDEXCEL BTEC Level 2 Certificate, Extended Certificate or Diploma in Music.  Depending upon musical experience the courses offer the equivalents of from 1 to 4 GCSE's.

Assessment is based on coursework and completionof assignments.  In order to achieve a Level 2 Diploma it is anticipated that the student will receive tuition on an instrument, or voice and be a regular member of an ensemble.
