Sports Day 2011

Mr Flint was right, he said he'd ordered good weather and the sun shone for Staindrop Sports Day 2011.  With field events taking place in the morning and track events in the afternoon our PE department had a very busy day.

Mr Gibbon was ably assisted by Mr Nugent with the starter pistol and Mrs Jervis manned the finish line assisted by PE students.  Mrs Lowery was in charge of the results desk.  The results were announced shortly after all events had finished.  The Year 7 winning form was 7G.  In Year 8, 8P took the prize and in Year 9, 9R were victorious.  Well done to all who took part - it really is about taking part!
