Mr Shaun Towers is our Inclusion and Transition Manager and ensures that Year 6 children have the best possible introduction to secondary school as is possible.  He will visit children who have a confirmed place at Staindrop and will accompany children on their visits to school.

Induction Days

In July we welcome Year 6 students who are joining us in September, to Staindrop, in order that they experience school life, before they come up to the "big" school.  For three days, students will take part in lessons, start to find their way around school, stay for lunch and generally start to get a feel for the Staindrop way of life.

We also hold an evening for parents of Year 6 children in which they meet the head teacher, Mr Flint, while their children meet their Form Tutors.  There is also an opportunity to purchase school uniform.  Details of these evenings are published nearer the time but are usually in June.
